I am a 27 year old paramedic living with my partner in the inner suburbs of Melbourne. Despite my city address I am far more comfortable in a tent in one of the beautiful national parks around Melbourne and get out as much as I can. I enjoy the simple life and live quite frugally and eco consciously where possible. We grow as much food as we can on our tiny balcony and are very happy to cater to vegetarian and vegan visitors. We surf and hike and road trip, play 2 player Lego the hobbit on PS4, watch Netflix docos and argue over who's turn it is to rinse the wet suits.
We are new to this and don't feel comfortable having people in the apartment when we aren't there or giving out keys, however one of us is usually home from around 5pm and we are quite often home during the day too as we are both doing some study at the moment.

We are thinking of doing some traveling next year and would love to meet some locals and crash at their places so we thought we would share our home first!

Intereses

I am way into DIY whether it is sewing, gardening, crafting, cooking or whatever. I also love finding new restaurants and breakfast places in the area. There are lots of interesting speakers and presentations around Melbourne and I also like visiting the galleries and museums. I am a camping nut and love the idea of setting off with all I need packed in the car. The great ocean road is a big favourite as well as Wilson's Promontory. I like to cruise around the area on my bicycle, it is only a few minutes to the beach by bike, 20 minutes or so on foot. James can be found practicing various tunes on his guitar, shooting hoops at the local basketball court or have a drink or two at bars in the city.

Música, películas y libros

I am into mostly chilled out music like Ben Howard, Emma Louise and London Grammar but James prefers his music a bit louder and a bit faster. Rap, hip hop, funk and alternative and he doesn't mind the odd bush doof.
There is a local cinema nearby and I love to wander down and catch some weird art house flick every now and again but I also like some blockbusters.
Books are a big problem in our little apartment! James is big into the astrophysics stuff lately by authors like Tim Flannery and David Suzuki, whilst I am reading a few memoirs, trying to read some classics with the odd bit of Australian literature thrown in here and there.

I feel like I have been lucky enough to do lots of amazing things. I have witnessed a few births in my time as a paramedic and that is always a pretty amazing thing. Some of the scenery in southern Spain was mind blowing, those beautiful frontier towns and all the winding roads through the mountains! I spent three of four days hiking and camping through Wilson's Prom and after walking all that time in the scorching summer sun we arrived at our destination - Little Waterloo bay- and i don't think a beach has ever looked so good to me. Perfect white sand, it could be mistaken for sugar, and clear blue water that felt like it had washed in straight off the icebergs.
