I'm a NYC native living in Wellington, NZ for the last 6+ years.

Born a city girl, I now prefer to spend my time by the sea or in the bush but enjoy the comforts that come with (smaller) city living, including great friends, good beer, live music and a walkable yoga studio. I'm pretty easy going, if not a bit of a planner/organizer, and like being around people who have varied interests, am endlessly curious about people!

After doing a lot of travel in my twenties, I'm now a policy analyst with more responsibility and less time to explore, but am always playing close to home - and head overseas when possible (NZ is really far!).

Hoping to host more people in the future - love meeting new people, trading stories, drinking wine etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've come to treasure my yearly-ish overseas trips - while I'm abroad, meeting locals and seeing their homes through them is something I value and am always seeking out. I like the reciprocity that's inbuilt to couchsurfing, the opening of peoples homes, and the community.

I've used it only a few times, but think it's something I'd like to explore in the future.
I'm heading to Japan this July and looking for both places to stay and people to meet.
