Overview
About Me
I am inspired by natural places and also love to explore new cities by foot. Food is a central part of my life. I am interested in Buddhism and travel, writing and dance, and the intersections between social justice and personal healing. I am trying to learn how to not take life too seriously;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Having lived in multiple coops, I've come to develop a deep appreciation for communal living. Through couch surfing, I hope to learn about and come to know people who have different life experiences, cultures, and backgrounds than me. Through couch surfing, I want to step beyond the typical tourist path or routine and engage with a place more authentically. Most importantly, I love that couch surfing makes it possible to find and create community across the globe, to make new places feel like home.
Interests
I love all things food. I've worked on multiple farms in California, taught an organic gardening class, learned how to cook Nepali cuisine from a mentor during study abroad, and was a head cook for a 140 person coop. Some of my richest memories of places and people coming together (and of receiving the generosity of others) are infused with food.
