ABOUT ME

I am Minnesota born and currently based. I geek about grammar, lit, food, art, and theatre. Things that make me the happiest: at home with a new idea for dinner and a glass of wine; getting wrapped up in a book; discovering somewhere new; hole in the wall restaurants; impromptu escapes from work; keeping my soul happy.

I love traveling. If I could travel someplace new each month for the rest of my life, I'd be happy. Granted, that "someplace new" might be the next town for a little while, but that still counts.

I'm an English nerd; I love to read. I write a bit of poetry when the mood strikes. I like people watching.

Whipped cream from the can / Going to the gym and leaving drenched in sweat / Cooking / Making wine and drinking it / Growing vegetables / Making lists / Waking up early

Recently, I've picked up a few books from the bestseller's list... A Heartbreaking Work, The Hunger Games trilogy, The Kite Runner... some others are The Male/Female Brain, Pride and Prejudice, The History of Love. If the first chapter doesn't hook me, I usually put it down.

I like movies with quiet humor. Lars and the Real Girl. King of California. BottleRocket. The Edukators. 10 Things I Hate About You. The Royal Tenenbaums. Pride and Prejudice.

Instrumental music is what I listen to most often... Unwed Sailor, Explosions in the Sky, etc. I also really like acoustic stuff like Joe Purdy and Iron and Wine.
