About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live a life worth reminiscing.
ABOUT ME
I like to believe that I'm a curious and positive person, who jumps at chances to make friends. I'm anti-racism, anti-homophobia, and anti-sexism, and don't have much patience for individuals with those qualities. However, I am very patient with those who are outgoing, shy, sarcastic, bubbly, or anywhere along the spectrum. I enjoy the company of others, and understand and appreciate that there are vast differences between people.
Currently, I'm working as a developmental therapist to children with special needs. A true, and trying, testament to my desire to help others.
PHILOSOPHY
There are so many people in this world. So many are in need of help, are worth getting to know, or might help you in some way. It's all about making connections, and I totally dig that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently, I'm looking for couches around Europe (Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany, etc) for June '13 - September '13 ish. Once back from this trip, I will acquire my own dwelling, and will offer a couch/bed as it is needed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Before I discovered couchsurfing.org, I made contacts with people through mutual friends to couch surf in places like Portland, OR, Los Angeles, CA, and as far away as Cairo, Egypt. I also stayed with a family who decided to host me in Tbilisi, Georgia. Unfortunately, these families/individuals have not become members of this site.
Interests
I'm very interested in drinking a lot, reading books, and leaving my comfort zone.
- books
- womens rights
- wine
- drinking
- movies
- reading
- music
- hiking
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy pop-punk, folk, indie pop, 90's hip hop, old '50s jazz, and can probably make myself like whatever it is that invades my ears.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking up to a monastery on the top of a mountain in Tbilisi, Georgia, I came across a wish tree. Having lived in Egypt the previous 7 years, I hadn't seen snow in quite a while. I tied a string around a branch, wishing for snow. Reaching the monastery, I was greeting with the first light snowfall I had seen in more than half a decade.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn about different cultures. With my big Europe trip, I'm really hoping to take in a lot of different ones. That's what I'd like to learn.
To share, I'd love to talk about music, movies, feminism, wine, or books.
