ABOUT ME

I started traveling with my best friend and partner Matthew after deciding to start following my dreams, quitting my job, selling my belongings, and buying a one-way ticket out of America. Ever since I was a young I knew I wanted to see the world and I believe backpacking is the best way to experience new places, meet the locals and eat amazing food.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not sure what "how I participate" is referring to but I will do my best to answer! I love meeting new people, I love engaging in stimulating conversation and trying new things, pushing my boundaries and limits (sky diving, anyone?!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have couch surfed in America and India but not through this site. We stayed with two families in India and got to know their customs, practices, and cooking styles while building lasting relationships with them. It was the best way to experience an authentic side of India and I want to continue getting to know other cultures this way.

Dance (all types), books, art, music, learning new skills, reading, writing (we have a blog and are currently writing a futuristic dystopia trilogy), meeting new people, pretty much all of it!

We love all music- music is life! It brings people together and creates community. We also have a small book-hoarding/obsession problem. We love love love to learn so we constantly have books with us in our travels. I also love fiction so we have a nice blend of reading materials with us. We enjoy comedy movies as well.

Rappelling 90 feet down into a cave and zip lining in the dark, jumping off an underground cliff into a black water river to see the glow worms in New Zealand was the most amazing thing I've done in my lifetime (thus far).

As for Matthew who walked 270 miles (442 km) from California to Las Vegas through Death Valley in the Mojave desert.

We love dancing-all types but especially Latin dance and teaching little skills, and can teach classes on Macrame, crochet, dreadlocks making and fixing, salsa. We even have some general classes we enjoy teaching such as Wealth 101, investing while traveling, and a special class called how to multiply your babies intelligence.
