The first question people usually ask when they meet someone new is, "so, what do you do?" I do a lot of things. Several earn me money. Many more don't. So I struggle to answer the question.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2004 with a degree in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature I moved back to my hometown of Madison. Since then I've worked as a karate instructor, marketing assistant, phone order processor, office manager, cooking school assistant... and currently earn money as a freelance writer, certified massage therapist, and aspiring rock star with a day job at the University of Wisconsin. (Okay, well, I don't really earn money as an aspiring rock star. But I hope to someday!)

In August, I will be moving to Boulder, where I hope to find a job with an innovative company that will be a step up from office administration.

My interests are wide and varied. I love meeting new people and learning what they are passionate about. Given the option, I will almost always choose to be outdoors and/or doing anything that involves music.

I'm a pretty decent cook, a certified massage therapist, and a halfway decent singer. I could also show you a few chords on a guitar, some basic knitting skills, and I can teach you how to swing dance.
