Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
To live and learn with passion and intent everyday.
ABOUT ME
Curious! I'm curious about people, life, culture, places, beliefs, and everything beyond and in between. I'm fascinated by life!
Explorer by nature.
The above traits led me to journalism.
My dream: travel, experience, learn, write.
Things I try to do everyday:
be positive -- see the big picture -- learn something new -- do something I'm afraid of -- help someone -- find adventure.
Other random traits: open-minded, truthful, direct, energetic, adaptable, fun.
I was born in Florida. I've also lived in Idaho, California, Washington, and Colorado. My family ended up in Minnesota. I feel like a 'Minnesotan' -- I've lived there since I was 10 years old. But my heart stayed in Colorado.
I studied for a semester in London. I spent last summer in southern France. I cried when I left.
I collect vices.
No, I'm not that bad! But I like to have a good time.
PHILOSOPHY
This would typically require hours and a bottle of wine.
But the basics? I believe...
-Life is short, live everyday fully and be happy.
-Life is what you make it. Anyone can be or accomplish anything with the right attitude and desire.
-The purpose of life is to learn and have fun.
-The Law of Attraction.
-What goes around, comes around.
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." -Gandhi

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to CS, but I love to surf and meet new people.
I'm dying to pay back the kindness I've experienced traveling. If you are in Minnesota -- send me a message! Coffee? Drink? Advice? A night on the town? Recommendations? Anything!
At the moment, I don't have a couch, but that will change. I promise!

Musica, film e libri
I'm one of those obnoxious people that likes a million kinds of movies, music, and books. I can't help it! My list would end up stupidly long. I would have wasted my time and yours :)
Generally speaking, I'm drawn to movies with some historical context -- especially biographies. I love to hear people's stories.
The last book I read: The 4-Hour Work Week
And music -- well, if there is a guitar involved, I'm usually sold. Pretty simple. I find myself listening to acoustic, old rock, and bluegrass.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Cliffs of Moher, Ireland:
Spontaneous road trip with people I just met (and a friend I was traveling with). We arrived after closing time, so the place was deserted. We jumped up and down on a bed of spongy, soft grass like kids and laughed still our stomachs hurt. Then we sat on the edge and watched the sun set in the west. It was one of those days, one of those sunsets, one of those moments -- perfect joy.
Insegna, impara, condividi
What knowledge can I offer you? Hmmm...
-English: I'm a decent writer and I love reading others' work. I can edit and give honest opinions if you're writing something.
-U.S. culture/general knowledge/history
-I love American football and ice hockey. Let's go to a game! I'll teach you the rules.
-The local music, theater, and arts scene in Minneapolis is great. I know the spots.
-Minnesota culture = lakes, fishing, Scandinavian roots, ice hockey, chicken wild rice soup, theater, Prince, freezing your ass off in the winter, boating in the summer, and going 'up north' in the fall to see the leaves change. I know you're dying for more - Midwest style! Haha!
As for what I'm looking absorb from you?
You may have gathered by now that my knowledge-gathering is not selective. But a good start would be to learn about you, your culture, your country, and your city.
