I'm a very friendly, relaxed and outgoing person. I love to travel and to see new places. I'm originally from Germany, but I've been here in the States since March 2014. I work as an au pair (nanny) and live in Santa Monica. I'll go back to Germany in spring 2015. I finished my Bachelor in Social Work and I'm planning to write my Master thesis when I'm back home.
But before that I would like to enjoy the rest of my time here in the States and see and explore as much as possible. :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Two of my favorite interests are traveling and meeting new people from all over around the world. I love to explore places I have never seen, get to know cultures I have never heard of before and do things I have never dreamt of,
I would love to make the most of all the upcoming vacations I have planned or even of those I have not planned yet.
I think that couchsurfing is a great opportunity to esacape the tourist crap and to actually meet natives and hosts who can tell me about the places I was looking forward to see. In return, I also like to share my culture, to tell my stories and to host travellers when I am back in Germany,
Globalisation is bringing us all together, so we might just take advantage of it and enjoy meeting, talking and spending some good time with people all around the globe.

Interessen

As I mentioned above, I love to travel, to explore and to meet people. In Germany, I played Handball and still enjoy working out, playing a basketball game or hiking in wonderful SoCal. I love being outdoors, but I also adore to invite my friends to just hang out and cook dinner, to watch some movies or to dance the night away.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Everyone can teach or share something, everyone has a story to tell. I can probably show you how to cook some good German food, show you around my German home town or tell you more about Germany, how it is to live in the States as a German or simply about the work as a Social Worker.

Since everyone has something to share, I guess I would love to share some good German food, some stories about my stay in the States or just some German traditions. If the host is interested, I would love to host him or her in the future in Germany. I really appreciate the hospitality and hope to be as active in the couchsurfing comunity as many people here.
