Hello! my name is Nicolette and I have been travelling on and off around Asia for the past 2 years. My current trip in Asia has lasted about 7 months and now I am on my way to Australia to begin my working holiday year! I studied Art and Design for two years in London and wish to study visual anthropology when I return to England. Countries I’ve visited include: India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam, Malaysia, Spain, Sweden, Italy and now Australia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couchsurfing by a couple of different friends that I met travelling. Both spoke very highly of it and of the people they met and experiences they had and both had hosts kind enough to let me stay with them aswell without even having an account yet! I found the experience really nice and really enjoyed to travel and meet people that way so I thought it was time to make my own account.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so many different genres and styles it’s impossible to pick favourites but right now I’m reading a Haruki Murukami book (always love his books). I’m listening to some Hiatus Kaiyote (Australian band), Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Childish Gambino (to name a few). Movies I love so so many... All Studio Ghibli, True Romance.. many more, I also love documentaries the most recent watch being 'Take Your Pills'.
