"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away!!"
To make a positive difference in the world and the lives of others because I have lived, I love meeting people and sharing life experiences with them, helping others to see outside the square whilst challenging myself to forever continue to do the same - to learn and to teach within the same breath.....I love sharing information and education so others can make an informed choice about how they are choosing to live, what they are choosing to eat and use in their daily lives, love going to seminars and expanding my views on all sorts of subjects....meeting wonderful people each time I attend another function.....enjoying the challenge when I return home to intergrate what I have learned into my daily life.....so long as I see the benefit for improving our way of life.....I feel I will be forever a student....sometimes a teacher.....
I heard a saying many years ago that rang true for me, it went something like this... "I live my life each day in such a way that I am not ashamed to greet the person I see in the mirror each morning"
I like to help others to improve their lives and those of their familes...I have found a web site that allows me to do just that...have a look...join up...
"The wise man is always seeking more knowledge, and in his searchings will not scorn what, at first sight, may seem to be at variance with established opinions, lest in so doing he loses a jewel of wisdom worth more than all the treasures of Earth."
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." ~Dr.Seuss
"Behold the darkness, yet curse it not. Rather be a light unto the darkness, and so transform it. Let your light shine before men, that those who stand in the darkness will be illuminated by the light of your being, and all of you will see, at last, who You Really Are." -Neale Donald Walsch
Every experience I have had, every moment I have lived, has helped me to become the person I am today...and for that I am truely greatful...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My OLD profile can be seen here https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/534997/profile/legacy
I was interviewed when CS in Washington D.C.
I instigated the Belgrave Foodies Night - get together once a month...NOTE: I have decided not to host these on a regular basis for a while....however would be happy to meet up for a get together/dinner with other CS members...just send me an email...we can organise another "foodies night"
Pleased to pay the donation fee to get properly verified and have donated once a year since then, have thoroughly enjoyed couchsurfing as a host and a guest these past years...we offer our two spare bedroom's to CS...look at my photo's...
Mention in the subject line "Home in the Gum Trees"... then I will know you actually read my profile...
Actively promoting the Family Welcome Google MAP for CS...Come and join us...
Have you read the press section all about couchsurfing...??...
We have two permanent guest rooms in our home as we have many guests come and stay with us, some for a night others for a few nights...we ask that you contribute to the food, as where ever you travel in the world you have to supply your own food...we love having new guests in our home through CS requests...we are also interested to meet some other CS who are happy to offer us a "couch" to come and stay in their homes...no matter where they live...our trip to Europe...actually this turned into a round the world trip...!!...it was awesome more so because of CS and all the fabulous members we stayed with...
I have introduced others to the CS community and look forward to hearing about their experiences and maybe even CS with them in the future or have the pleasure of welcoming them into our home one day...

Have enjoyed watching our kids grow up and become competent young adults, sometimes it does seem very surreal they have grown up so quickly, everyone tells you that when they are little, just you don't think that is the case, until you turn around one day and realise they have grown up and the years have just flown by, luckily we have a big age gap to Shanice to still keep us feeling young....TRAVEL...I love sharing my life and passions with my family and friends, both old and new, that includes those in cyberspace, Bush Walking, Bird Feeding, Beach Walking, Photography http://www.samsays.com/ I like Sam's pictures, Meditation, http://www.higherbalance.com/ Alternative Health Research, Alternative Dental health http://mizar5.com/mm.html Integrative Medicine, Music as medicine/Sound Healing, Crystals and Crystal Therapy, Essential Oils, Dr Gaynor Mitchell's work with cancer patients, this is worth a read for everybody to know about, as we all at one time or another unfortunately will know someone with cancer - information gives us all informed choices for our health.... http://www.gaynoroncology.com/
http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/index.html and http://www.mercola.com/ are both great research web sites for lots of subjects.... http://periotherapy.com/ a must for everyone to understand how important our dental routine is to our overall health...this is still a relatively unknown subject and one that certainly needs to be understood...
One other place worth a mention is Sanoviv and the work of Dr Myron Wentz, go to this web site and click the link to View Virtual Tour http://www.sanoviv.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=27&Itemid=31

One day, one year, I want to return and revisit one of my all time favourite places for at least a week and go to the Lilac Festival on Mackinac Island in Michigan USA held every year in June for about the last 60 years..... http://www.mackinac.com/
Dream of going to the Alsace Region of France and staying for at least one month. Would LOVE to experience the Colmar Christmas market...
I want to be able to look back on my life and know that I have had dreams and then had dreams come true...so many people just dream about "one day" and that day never seems to come for them...so I am making sure to create what I want in my life through my choices and taking action to make them happen....one more step closer to this reality was joining this wonderful web site and meeting so many beautiful new friends....all over this planet we call home....
