I'm a quiet, easy-going, flexible guest or host. There's nothing I love more than cooking a great home-cooked meal, jump-starting a lively game of charades, or taking a long walk. I have an arsenal of camp friendly jokes and Rilke quotes at my disposal. I dance, I garden, I craft, I read, and pray.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In general--couchsurfing is a powerful way to move about the world. It establishes trust, safety, and connections in an expensive and technologically isolating world. I tend to couchsurf without using this website, but I want to get more into it because of the great opportunity to meet new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught myself how to whistle when I was 20 years old. It took 8 months. Every day, when I rode my bike to work or school (20 minutes each way), I practiced. I am so proud.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have worked as a professional cook, facilitator, and small-scale farmer. I am happy to share any of those skills. I grew up in the Bay Area and know the best hikes, tea houses, and niche activities. Also, I'm a competent partner dancer, happy to teach.
