ABOUT ME

I am Native American and Sicilian. I work with Refugee Human Rights and Mental Illness with the orphan population in the West Bank, Gaza, and Surrounding Arab countries. Right now, I'm at UC Berkeley for grad school in Middle Eastern Social Welfare and Arabic. I tend to be very excitable and passionate when I'm focused, yet have a habit of being less than naively happy about the state of the world today. I speak and write well, but have yet to master the art of day to day motivation. I do political illustrations and other pieces mainly centered on Resistance Art. I like working with 2nd generation immigrants who feel disconnected from their native heritage yet similarly disconnected from Middle American life. I was born on my tribe's reservation and love meeting other natives who are progressive and open minded regarding politics, religion, and altered states of consciousness.

PHILOSOPHY

To revolt is a natural tendency of life. Even a worm turns against the foot that crushes it. In general, the vitality and relative dignity of an animal can be measured by the intensity of its instinct to revolt. Freedom, morality, and the human dignity

I don't like people who can't understand why I feel empathy with the world. I like to laugh and feel solidarity with others.

Copenhagen with Comic Illustrators, Armenia with revolutionaries, Jerusalem with anti-Occupation Israelis, Paris with strangers who spoke in English when I spoke French, Philadelphia and outskirts with hippies, Southern New Mexico on the Laguna Reservation, Oklahoma and Tennessee with bikers, Mexico with stoners, Canada with polar bears!
