To experience things out of the box - to challenge my preconceptions.
I'm a student architect from Pretoria, South Africa. I spend my time either performing or writing music with my band December Streets or working for a local firm.
My passions are browsing esoteric websites to learn useless information, photography of all kinds, musical instruments and the sounds they make as well as history.
I spent about a year working on boats in the Mediterranean. I've travelled extensively in Africa and Europe, and I hope to add more countries to my passport. I can be serious or a joker. But I hope that whoever I am if you meet me, I can act with compassion.
To travel can cure racism and teach us empathy.
To appreciate that others have unique values and to attempt understanding them in light of that.
To enjoy myself enough that I don't look back and wonder what I spent my time and money on all those years?

The guitar is my first love. I also flirt with pianos, drums, basses, harmonicas and violins, but I always stay faithful.
All things architecture fascinate me - urbanism, sketching and design are constant inspirations.
I love photography and cycling, and I also enjoy trying to learn new languages and history.
Music, Movies, and Books
Children of Men, Equilibrium, Downfall, Chocolat and Das Leben der Anderen are some of my favourite movies - I love history and science fiction!
Same goes for books - Larry Niven, Isaac Asimov, Terry Pratchett. Also Kahlil Gibran.
My musical taste is eclectic, from John Coltrane, through Kishi Bashi to Arvo Pärt.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scandinavia in December - dark, cold and awesome.
New Year's (Silvester) in Berlin. Wacky, outrageous, ridiculous party!
Swimming in the sunset in Buffelsbaai, South Africa - my favourite beach.
The Rat Man on the train in Cannes, France - Legendary Busker
Teach, Learn, Share
Music - I love jamming. Give me something I can play and we can make some noise!
Handwork - I can fix stuff around the house, some electrical/gardening/repair stuff
