Hi there! My name is Dorota, and I'm a Polish girl living my dream in Iceland for the past few years.
In 2020 I became a mum to my precious boy Steinar Miron, and as a family we keep on travelling and exploring the world. My heart is divided between Iceland and Poland and I am continuously planning solo or family adventures. Planning and organising runs in my veins and I love doing it professionally and in my free time.
For the last 2 years I have been learing how to become UI/UX designer and I eventually developed the enitire website for the amazing company I work for. In my free time I love doing sport, reading and listening to music. As a former booking agent and manager of a venue, I value great music and I still keep an eye on events wherever I am since I love to attend them and support artists the way I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past years I have been less active on the platform but I have been lucky enough to make some amazing friendships here which last until now. I have been a host and I have been hosted. Oftentimes I was also able to just meet up and show around the city I used to live at the given time.
These days, I am planning on some solo travelling and it would be wonderful to meet some people along the way and make new memories together.
In exchnage, I am always able to offer an accommodation in Reykjavík, Iceland. Currently we have an additional bedroom which designated to be an office or a guest room.

Intereses

I love sport, active and healthy lifestyle.
I am a big fan of a design and finding solutions to improve the workplace performance.
These days I am also loving to spend time with my little guy exploring the world and making sure I bring him the opportunities to explore the world and learn a lot through the creative play and fun.

-I used to attend countless music shows in Poland and abroad. Many of them were pretty unique and unforgettable like Sigur Rós, The National, Jack White, The Flaming Lips, Low Roar and thousands more...

- moving to Iceland :)
- hitchhiking in Europe and in Turkey,
- Surviving hectic Ho Chi Minh with a 2 year old :)
- hiking in uninhabited places in Iceland,
- participating in my first ultra marathon trail run less than 1 year from giving a birth.
- giving a birth to my amazing kid was a great experience and fantastic journey.
- travelling with our little guy to many countries and making wonerful memories as a family,
- feeding a giraffee and elephant :)
