I'm Niesjen, 27 years old and I moved to Greece for a job, and because I wanted to leave the Netherlands permanently. Would love to meet new people here!

I gave up everything to travel from January 2022 till December 2023. I have traveled a lot before and love to share stories about traveling and my previous job as a medical actor.

I have a gluten allergy and lactose intolerance, but it's not as difficult and boring as people mostly think. Also I quit alcohol but it doesn't mean I'm only eating healthy all the time. 🍎

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ever since I use CS, I have been meeting the most amazing people everywhere! I don't have a home and I'm traveling around Europe at the moment, would love to share adventures. As a trade for a sleeping spot I can clean or cook (glutenfree/vegan). I like hanging around the beach, meeting people, bonfire parties or anything we can come up with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Greece after randomly finding a job online. (2025)
Gave up my house, work, everything and start living from my backpack (2022-2024)
Working as a medical actor for the military, police, special forces, ambulance etc.
Did synchronize swimming in the National team when I was 14.
Somehow saved someone's life while not sober at all.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach basic medical stuff, first aid, English, swimming, bouldering

Apparently I can teach anyone to eat with chopsticks (see personal references)
