to be happy, make friends, raise my family and travel when i have the opportunity.

ABOUT ME

I am "a wee bit mad" as my Irish friend would say. But all in a good way of course. I am silly, wacky, passionate, energetic and adventurous. I love my three sons (not the tv show!) and my extended family. People mean the most to me and I enjoy meeting new people who are interesting and kind. I love the movie Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Jim Carey is too funny and my sons regularly quote from the movie Princess Bride, Black Adder (with Rowan Atkinson), Major Payne and She's The Man (just to name a few).

My flaws: I tend to be impatient and sometimes forgetful, but I don't mean it!

My strengths: I love people easily (did I already say that?) and I am loyal and honset (and modest....... :)
And, for better or for worse, I usually cut my own hair because i am too impatient to wait for a hairdresser to do it. I am very mechanically minded, I am a puzzle solver and love mind puzzles, or real life puzzles that need to be figured out. I love to hook up electronics, the more wires the more fun it is.

I do a lot of different things to keep myself busy. I am a mother, musician (piano, violin, Ukelele, drums and sing sometimes), fitness instructor, math teacher, comdedian, travel writer/photographer, caterer, plumber, handy person, house painter, artist/painter, poet and most of all, a daydreamer.

I am a people person, I am not a fan of being by myself and will go out with friends and do what they want to do because i am happy just to be with friends.

PHILOSOPHY

So many people to meet and love, so little time! My goal is to make as many connections with people as possible before I am dead.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer my couch to those who need to crash with me and my family. We are a fun bunch, a bit nutty, but good all around. There is always music in my house of some kind, and always a house full of boys.

Interests

Music is a huge part of my life as is exercise ( I am a Pilates instructor). People and friendships are what I am interested in. I hate to let go of people, I love easily and quickly and would do anything for my friends. I am a huge fan of hands. I love to look at peoples hands, they are so intimate to a person and very unique.

Music, Movies, and Books

love to read memoirs/non-fiction. I play piano and love jazz piano the most. Movies are fun to watch. I love escaping into another world for two hours. I love all sorts of music, far too many kinds to mention, and movies that make me laugh and feel good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone skydiving, which was mind bending. Traveled to Ireland and climbed the Skellig Michael which is a must see, as is the Bridge Pub in Port Magee, mighty craic to be had there! And as corny as it is to say, watching my kids grow up is fascinating. It is amazing how they change and how they change me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Never skydive with a runny nose, take something to dry that nonsense up! My nose was runny the one time I did a tandem jump and my hair ended up crunchy, and embarassingly, the tandem jumper on my back had weird deposits on his chin! Oh the horror of it all, but I loved the jump otherwise. it is like another world up there, floating down to earth, no noise, nothing but me, my runny nose, my tandem jumper and the wind. LOVED IT!!
