About Me

Namaste, I’m Nihal!

I’m from a small village in Kerala, Kannur district. As a passionate traveler, my goal is to explore every corner of India and experience everything this beautiful country has to offer. I believe that traveling isn’t just about visiting tourist spots, but about connecting with local people and diving deep into the culture. That’s why I’ve joined Couchsurfing — to make my travels more memorable by staying with locals, learning from their experiences, and seeing places through their eyes.

I completed an entire Kerala hitchhiking trip with the help of Couchsurfing, where I got stays, hangouts, and made new connections. The journey was an incredible experience that taught me the value of human connection, and I hope to create even more memories as I continue my travels with the Couchsurfing community.

I absolutely love meeting new people, especially fellow travelers who share the same passion and energy as me. Hosting travelers has been equally rewarding, though my village in Kerala might not be a hotspot for travelers yet! But I’m hopeful that Couchsurfing will help bring more like-minded people into this peaceful corner of the world.

I enjoy hosting people in my village and introducing them to my local area and town. I believe it’s a wonderful experience to share the beauty of my village with travelers, and I hope to offer others a unique chance to experience Kerala through the eyes of a local.

I’m also deeply drawn to boho culture and the free-spirited, laid-back vibe of the hippie lifestyle. I aspire to embrace this way of life — living simply, traveling freely, and immersing myself in nature and new experiences. It’s all about peace, love, and being in tune with the world around me.

I prefer staying with locals rather than in hotels or hostels because I want to experience the real culture of a place — from hidden spots to local food, and of course, the people who make it all special. While I’m not a cook yet, I love learning new recipes and enjoy helping out in the kitchen when I can. I'm also a hiker and love exploring off-the-beaten-path spots, like hidden sunset points or quiet, serene corners of the village.

My first Couchsurfing experience was unforgettable — my host shared so much knowledge that I still carry with me today. Their wisdom has influenced not just my travels, but my life, and it’s something I’ll never forget. This is why I’m here — to learn, to share, and to continue meeting amazing people who make this journey worthwhile!

Looking forward to connecting with you, hosting you in my village, and sharing experiences, stories, and new adventures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with fellow travelers, share experiences, and dive deeper into local cultures. I want to make my travels more meaningful by staying with locals, learning from their perspectives, and building lasting connections. It’s about experiencing a place through its people and creating memories that go beyond the typical tourist spots.

Interests

I’m passionate about traveling, meeting new people, exploring hidden spots, and hiking in nature. I love learning about different cultures and experiencing local life. I’m also interested in boho culture, living a simple, free-spirited lifestyle, and connecting with others over shared experiences. Enjoying sunsets at the beach and sunrises in the mountains is one of my favorite ways to connect with nature.

Most importantly, I bring good company, respect for your space, and an open mind, always ready to connect and learn from fellow travelers.
