About Me

My mission in life is to encourage people to open up their minds and be kind to themselves, each other and everything else on the planet.

I think my worldview and personality have been deeply influenced with my first trip I took abroad to India with the intention of having an internship for only one year but instead spending 3,5 years of my life there.. Else, I have always been a naive and curious person, who loved being in others' company and truly enjoyed harmony. Having said that, just like everyone else, I love spending time on my own too, going for long walks, reading, or going to the movies, museums, exhibitions alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people, and my experience tells me most people are here with good intentions indeed, so CS makes me believe in the good and friendly side of people, the side that does stuff without expecting anything in return. Hosting people has been lovely.

So far I have mostly hosted, but surfing someone's couch was great too! I am looking forward to future travels when I can do it again.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies with a twist in the end! It's much fun to be surprised by a movie.
I listen to a wide variety of music including a lot of musicals (as I was a theatre kid for a long time), but no death/black/whatever metal and no EDM. To me music has to have an edge, it is allowed to be simple but not crude.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have never cliffdived or bungee-jumped, if that's what you expect to read here. I don't even particularly like rollercoasters. But my travels, especially my 3,5 years in India blessed me with some fantastic experiences, like watching the sunrise over the blue city of Jodhpur from the hill steps of the Mehrangarh Fort, riding the camels and spending a night in the desert in Jaisalmer, catching the first glimpse of Taj Mahal through its gates, dancing Garba in Baroda with about 30000 people during the Indian festival of Navratri, or the guided tour we took into Dharavi in Mumbai, one of the world's biggest slums (this one not in a good way obviously, but still amazing in an eye-opener way..) or climbing 3000-odd steps to the hilltop temples of Palitana...
Riding a hot air balloon over Cappadocia valley in central Turkey at dawn and going up to the top of the Eiffel tower at midnight was totally mesmerizing experiences too.
Oh, and after my last travel to Lapland, the northern lights (aurora borealis), absolutely! That was one amazing sky show!
