关于我

CURRENT MISSION

Northern Ireland - City of Derry International Choral Festival (cross your fingers for us - hopefully we'll win :), then a little traveling around, "meeting" Ireland (for my very first time), enjoying being alive and getting inspired by the nature and by you!

ABOUT ME

Spontaneous but a planning-freak, wild but calm, talking too much but listening a lot. 'Mal so, mal so.' as you'd say in German.

I'm trying to be happy in my life, to enjoy the beauty of present time and not to lose myself in thinking about the past or planning my future!

I was living for nearly two years in Berlin and the city taught me, that I can allow myself to follow my dreams and not to get defeated by the social mainstream. That everything is possible, if you strongly believe in it.

So I believe... that I will see Nepal once, get a watch with a fountain in it, that I will find a job I love and also get paid for it (still naive about it), spend a year traveling around Asia, spend one month in Buddhist monastery, play a recital with my piano duo in Carnegie Hall, will meet inspiring people and maybe once also inspire someone, that I won't lose my freedom, mal sehen...

I suffer under TED-procrastination, or rather TEDcrastination (www.ted.com, do you know :). This is my little island of inspiring stories, people and their philosophies, which support me in what I am doing and want to achieve. I also started to voluntary translate some of their videos, trying to help this way to spread those ideas in other language groups and nations.

My motto, "courage-giver"?
Change is the life so change your life.
I try to live my life and not only look at it from outside.
And a Czech one: Méně mít - více žít! (have less - live more)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When I asked someone to go with me for a jurney or just a bike trip, they were lazy and wanted to spend the time home, instead of backpacking or they often couldn't go with me (except for my sister). So I decided to travel alone, on my own. But what was my surprise, when I realized, that I've never met sooo many interesting and funny people as on the road, while traveling alone.
You're actually never alone - and Couchsurfing is one of the reasons.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can introduce you the Brno city I was born in, maybe tell you some stories about it's history or my history or just take a cup of coffee and talk about the immortality of the May-bug and infinity of the universum!

Or just lay on the grass, watch the stars, jump into the puddles...

兴趣

A lot of music - I sing in a choir, play professionally in a piano duo (curious? - www.soundcloud.com/klavirniduo), listen to music, play music, eat music (Mozart Kugeln aaaah), live with music (unfortunately it is not enough for living).

Traveling. And sometimes also staying at one place for some time and getting to know the culture really, its people, good and bad habits, trying to become one of them.

Backpacking. Just the backpack (with the necessary survival equipment) and the road. And I love sleeping in the open air!

Translating. I am a freelance translator (German, Czech - www.mareckova-wortraum.com) and I love it. Playing with the words, their hidden meaning, searching for the author's meaning (if any), trying to imprint it into the target text. My little dream? Connecting two of my hobbies - being a translator on the road :)

Refugee law. I actually don't like law and the legal society and going to legal studies was the worst decision I made. But this year, I found an interest in refugee law. And not only because of the crisis. It is an area, in which the justice-level is very low. Even those, who really suffered wars, mostly don't get the help needed. I'm not trying to help everyone (and I can't), but I want to help to ensure, that the law won't be just a weapon in the hands of strong and rich people. I want to help those, who are in right, not those who can "afford" it.

音乐、电影和书籍

Playing Rachmaninov, Chopin, Liszt, Shostakovich, listening something from everything (from radio hits to the more sophisticated ones - if there are any).
Sigur Rós, London grammar, Coldplay, Joe Cocker, Canto Ostinato for a meditative mood, The Nations, The XX, Radiohead for laughing, Glass Animals for studying. Uhh, enough for now :)

I like reading a lot, my holiday always starts with a good book. I love Eugen Onegin, Dalai Lama's Cat, mostly everything from Kundera, Remarque, Ruark, Irving, Marquez.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Playing Grieg piano concert with orchestra.
Driving water scooter really fast.
Living abroad.
Deciding to not to be a lawyer.
Realizing, that money isn't everything, but the life is.

教,学,和分享

I can teach you playing the piano or some Czech tongue-twisters, Swiss-German dialect (a terrible one), my Dutch accent when speaking German (everyone says it).

You can teach me your language :)
