About Me

I'm a German girl aged 25 who is interested in traveling and exploring our beautiful world and the kind people living on it. Each year, I try to spend as many weeks in different places to see the wonders everyday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of getting in contact with locals, as I think they know best about their city/country. I believe in the kindness and trust that people can create and of course appreciate the cheap opportunity (I'm a student!). I hope that many friendships our just exchanges of cultures, ideas and inspiration are happening.

Interests

I am very interested in the difference of each country. Each country I visit I want to learn a little bit of language, as I enjoy learning new ones and think it is a nice way to show respect for a country. Further, I'd like to learn more about the country, its culture, traditions and beliefs, how the people live there, what they love about their country and what they want to change.

Music, Movies, and Books

Especially my preference in music always depends on the mood. In October I can already start listening to Christmas music, but I also love Tropical House, Classical music, general Pop or RnB stuff. There are only few I don't really like, which include Deutsche Schlager.
I have a love/hate relationship to movies, as I often think that they are way too long. However, I love to watch science fiction movies, which deal with how our world might be in the future and often spend time watching documentaries. And of course I am a big fan of series, but from time to time, I forget everything about the filmed stuff and get caught by a good book.
Generally, I enjoy almost all genres, only horror makes me hiding in my bed for some days!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most amazing trip so far was walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. I think I will never forget this journey and would always recommend it! Also, my trip to Iceland in January 2016 was exceptional. Without having everything planned in detail the best adventures and memories are about to happen. Also, thanks to this amazing platform. Other than that, I think the most interesting trip so far was when I travelled China for a month, mainly off the beaten track! Such a diverse country and way too big to see it all in 30 days - but I will go back, for sure!
Overall, I think especially women should be less afraid of travelling alone as there are many big, inspiring and powerful communities as CS supporting you.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some languages, some more, some less. I used to help students with French, although my French level is not quite good.. But I also love to learn new cultures or try out new sports.
Ohh, and I can try to teach you how to do a handstand! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can clean, wash, and cook! :)
But what I love to share more are stories and experiences and to enjoy the company of nice and openminded people. I think everyone can share their knowledge and it might help ones more than others.
