Hello there, I'm Nik, you can also call me Hanif. Just your normal average joe, nothing so 'interesting' one might say. Huge fan of nature and the outdoors. Love music. I appreciate the more mundane things in life, that scenic photographic memory you have in your head.Priceless.I love learning new things.
I havent actually hosted anyone since 2012 i think.

I'd love to go on a tour to different places of the world. I'd like to try new experiences, trading cultures and looking forward in meeting new people during my travels. My current interest is towards filming now and i've been writing and experimenting with all kinds of genre.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined on the basis that I'm currently Hosting for friends of another Couchsurfer in Indonesia. I'm keen to host more people in the future and also to surf in different parts of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people in 2011, most of them we're nice. I learned a few of their cultures and they learned mine. The funny thing about couchsurfing is when you take up surfers and they asked you factual information about your country, it comes to show you know less cause we dont tend to appreciate what's around us.

Interessen

Trading cultures, Learning new languages, Meeting new people, Music,Live bands,Instruments, stand up comedy, Adventure, Filming, Writing,Silly thoughts,Spacing out, simplicity and frugality. Lately ive really been into film making.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love different kinds of music genres ranging from Jazz, Blues, Metal, Grunge,Hardcore,Psychedelic,Rock,Experimental,Downtempo,Trip hop, Hip hop,Instrumentals and so on. I also love seeing street music performances and listening to film scores. But my current favs are Bjork, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Sting&The Police, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, well...loads more actually.

I'm keen with different sorts of movies but here's a few of my favorites,The Departed,Warrior,Lawless,Nolan's Batman Trilogy,Tropa de elite,City of God,Catch me if you can,Inception, Interstellar, Memento,Snatch,Lock Stocks,Scarface, Star Wars and LOTR trilogy, Shawshank Redemption, Oceans Eleven and so on.

I've read some english literature, philosophy books and fictions.currently hooked on bill bryson and hunter s.thompson

Turned vegan once, met up with old childhood friends in England after 9 years,learned survival skills in the jungle,toured with my band, ziplined from one island to another.

Learn foreign languages, it will do you a whole world of good especially when traveling to build rapport amongst the people and their culture.

"Think Global, Act Local" only then people will learn to accept you.
