About Me
Hi there, my friends call me Niki, I'm an open-minded German and (if something like that really exists) had a pretty normal life. After school, I worked as an Au Pair in Dublin for 10 month, started uni then, decided to take a semester off in order to revisted my Dublin host family with whom I stayed for another 8 months, went back to uni and have stayed there ever since.
I like talking to people a lot, although I always prefer genuine conversations to superficial small talk.
I like the sun and water and walks but I also appreciate the occasional rain :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, I'm really into the English classics when it comes to books, especially Irish and English authors.
Of Monsters and Men, Florence and the Machine, MGMT, PJ Harvey, Tocotronic, Bob Dylan (saw him live once :) ), Decemberists, Fleet Foxes aaaaaaaaaaaaaand the likes frequently entertain my ears :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mmmmh...I've never saved a kitten...but I've watched all Star Wars episodes in one go...does that count? o.O
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in pacifism and think the world would be a better place if we treated each other with respect.
In spite of my (first) teaching degree, I'm a learner rather than a teacher (to borrow Stephen Dedalus' description of the matter)
What I Can Share with Hosts
jokes, vegetarian/vegan recepies, some language skills
