I like studying and discovering new interesting things. Apart from studying engineering in the university, I go to the gym and play sports with friends. I also like to travel and meet new people from around the world. In the free time, I prefer reading books or playing the guitar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel to explore new places and gain new experiences that will affect the way I perceive this world. By communicating with local people, I hope to get insights into culture and experience the place from their perspective. Getting to know how their lives are different from mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually cannot find time for movies, but from the ones I have watched I want to mention - Elephant Man and Blade Runner.

My music choice is vague as there are songs from different genres that I like to listen to. My favourite genres are indie rock and jazz. I like to listen to Alt-J and Artic Monkeys.

My favourite book is "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The life for me is a sequence of overcoming challenges. Moving out from Latvia to study in Scotland. Finding what I want to take as a degree and later determining the motivation to study it. Hence, I cannot find a single amazing thing. More like there are multiple small things that I am proud of.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have not seen much of this world and so far my life was mostly about studying. However, my personality was changing a lot as I was discovering new interests and disadvantages. I started to think more about my goals and things I can be thankful for. As a result, I started to perceive this world differently. I want to share life stories with the host and get to know more about their lives.
