Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't had many opportunities to travel so far and I'm trying to change that now that I have a bit more freedom as a university student.
I'm looking for a way to travel that allows me to meet a variety of people and explore places as a local rather than a tourist- that's when I feel like I get a real sense of the place.
I think it's absolutely amazing that there is a community of people who understand and share a passion for travel and adventure and open their homes to visitors thereby giving them a chance to truly immerse themselves in the local culture. I really hope to experience this for myself soon.
I'm afraid I cannot accept guests, as much as I would like to, because I live in university accommodation and that has its limitations- sorry!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie genres are romcoms, fantasy and detective thrillers and so I'm always game to watch (or rather re-watch) Harry Potter, Sound of Music, X-men and the list goes on...

My top TV series would be Crown, House MD, Grey's Anatomy and more recently my boyfriend has been getting me into Black Mirror.

My taste in music is quite varied from instrumentals like Bella's Lullaby to chart-topping pop, country and EDM. Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran remain firm favourites.

I love reading novels- Harry Potter to Deception Point- fantasy and mystery are my favourite genres.
