ABOUT ME

I was born in the North of Russia ( Murmansk).
After finishing school I decided to go to work without higher education. I worked in the mine as a minor for 2 years and a half .
I was afraid of my life, some people died and I decided to quit.
I passed the exams and entered the Academy ( The State Polar Academy) in Saint-Petersburg.
I rented a flat and brought my girl-friend.
Now I'm just a student studying at philological department and working in some IT company.
We don't smoke nor drink (if we say we don't drink that means we do not consume any alcohol, even beer) there is a place to smoke on balcony.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that all persons on the Earth are equal and there's no room for racism. There shouldn't be, but unfortunately there IS. =((
Free-thinking and free-speaking that what I choose.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host people, because it's really interesting to learn different cultures and of course to tell them about ours.
It's also a good practice in studying languages and a motive of course. For example I'm studying French and only when I had guests from France who did not speak English I realize how my French was bad. It was like a life necessity to start speaking using the words and all the knowledge I had.
This is a good way for cultural exchange.
If the person doesn't want to host me I'd like to receive any response with that caz I will be sure that this person cannot host me.
Also I prefer to know about the possibility beforehand.

I think CS is the way to find out more about the way people live and even think. It's not just to have a free bed ( caz I know if nobody hosts me I will just stay in a hotel)but it will be pitty to miss such a great opportunity to get closer to the culture and people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted people not so many times, but a few. All the people I hosted you may see on my wall.
I started in 2008 and then stopped because I had new job which was difficult to combine with my study. I leave at 8 am and came at 12 am. But it does not apply to the summer.
If you have positive requests it will be a plus. If you ever hosted people not just a surfer)I will host you for sure.

Zainteresowania

I like different cultures and languages, every meeting with foreigners gives me some sort of motivation to study foreign language more and further.
Also I like IT stuff, different gadgets, sport, paintball, snowboard, shooting, roller-skating.

Jumped with a parachute, traveled in the West Russia by hitch-hiking with 10(!) Russian rubbles in my pocket.
