I am curious, ambitious, adventurous, considerate, easygoing, and love to laugh. i want to be an international human rights activist when i grow up, so seeing and learning about the world is important to me. // Je suis curieuse, ambitieuse, aventureuse, courtoise, accommodante, et j'adore rire. Je veux une carrière en l'activisme de droit de l'homme international et donc connaître le monde est important à moi.

I've surfed in Brussels, Marseilles, and Lyon. All were great experiences. I'm excited to host when I have comfortable accomodations to offer.

i prefer nonfiction, especially books about social science, feminism, history, the middle east, and biographies (reza aslan's no god but god, marjane satrapi's persepolis). i also like postcolonial literature particularly from the middle east or africa (assia djebar, nawal el saadawi) and literature from the southern united states (flannery o'connor, william faulkner). my favorite movies are i heart huckabees, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, hustle & flow, the science of sleep, i shot andy warhol, angels in america, and the legend of billie jean. my favorite music is bjork and other electronic music like peaches, m.i.a., le tigre, ladytron, santogold, and crystal castles. i also really like joy division, david bowie, beck, and radiohead.

i saw a real ancient egyptian mummy in a museum and i found it pretty amazing. it was also fun to participate in a feminist protest in paris on international women's day. // j'ai vu une vraie momie antique egyptienne et je l'ai trouvé assez extraordinaire. c'était aussi amusant quand j'ai participé à une manifestation féministe à paris pour la journée internationale des femmes.
