CURRENT MISSION

My first mission is to see Spain, Southern France and perhaps hope over to Portugal and/or Italy along the way!

ABOUT ME

Nikki is an honest, genuine, kind, caring, enthusiastic and well-rounded individual. Her friends and family come first, and she enjoys new experiences and is always up for an adventure. She loves animals, especially her horse, Billy. She is smart and caring, which is reflected in her career as an Occupational Therapist. She loves kids, and has a special soft spot for her goddaughter, Charlie. She is most definitely someone you'd like to host on your couch and get to know.

Pretty much, I believe that life is a journey, and in every situation/every person there are lessons to learn and there is good to be seen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to have any CouchSurfing experience, but have a few friends who have had great experiences with it and I look forward to the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world!

兴趣

I'd have to say that it would be really tough for me to list things that grab my attention. I tend to see the joy in most things I encounter, but most enjoy spending time with family and good friends. I have a horse and love to spend time out in the country, relaxing or horseback riding. I am also very passionate about my role as an occupational therapist, a career path that I can't wait to dive into after doing some traveling! I always am interested in learning about other cultures and other people's stories, which contribute to my desire to travel.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Instead of listing moments that left me awestruck, here are a few experiences/things that have really opened my eyes and impacted my life:
Explore Program: Spending 5 weeks in a Francophone community in an attempt to learn the French language when I knew very little. It was my first time away from home and the first that I put myself out of my comfort zone. I met so many inspirational and amazing people, and learned so much about myself in the process!
People, in general: I always love to meet new people and enjoy not only getting to know others, but feel that I can learn from each and every person I meet!
Grad School: Leaving the comfort of my hometown, family, and friends, I was able to really find myself and be who I wanted to be away from expectations of others. I met some great friends, had new experiences, all while accomplishing a goal that I've been striving towards for years!
