ABOUT ME

I thrive on good conversation and delicious food. Topics can range from the current political climate to pop culture to twenty minutes of puns. Just puns. The food? Anything. The harder it is for me to pronounce, the more likely I am to order it or try to make it. Why not? My reservations and fears about food unknown have proven themselves unwarranted. I pretty much apply that to everything in my life. Keeps it interesting. I smoke the ganj and remain a fully functional human. I'm Cuban and my volume gives it away most of the time. My voice is raspy. Laughter and open communication are my favorite things.

PHILOSOPHY

It is my belief that people are good and it is in our nature to help and love each other. I believe in the power of community. Changing our perspectives to find positivity in everyday things is harder than complaining, but totally worth it in the end. Love and honesty are beautiful things.

Technology is a double edged sword.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I'm surfing, it would be my pleasure to cook for you, tell you stories, babysit, clean, whatever's clever. I don't have a couch so anything I can do to give back would make me happy as a clam.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing and WWOOFing since November '12 and still goin' strong! It's been an awesome ride thus far.

Interests

Getting outside is definitely my main prerogative no matter where I am. Whether I'm out on the town making new friends, backpacking in the wilderness, or just walking around, I love it. Good beer and I are friends. Honestly, I just go with the flow and try to have fun wherever I am with whoever is there. Seems to be working out.

Currently reading The Culture of Make Believe and Into the Wild. My favorite author is Salinger.

Currently listening to random playlists my friends made for me. Ragtime music rocks my world. Michael Jackson changed my life.

Currently watching anything by Joss Whedon and enjoying the new season of Arrested Development. I know pretty much all of Mrs. Doubtfire and Liar Liar verbatim.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently sold all of my belongings and decided to take a different life path. I'm working on farms throughout the country, gaining knowledge and meeting some pretty awesome people. I haven't got much of a plan in terms of where I'm going specifically, but I believe if I put positive energy into the world then it will gift it back to me. Here's hoping!
