PHILOSOPHY

I think life, for me, is all about balance and choices... not necessarily in the conventional sense. It took me a while to realize that, in order for me to be content, I have to fully recognize what my goals are and lead my life accordingly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Pre-site affiliation, my past experience couch surfing would be... while working in Keystone a few years ago I stayed with a friend of a friend in Steamboat after seeing a show. I didn't know the guy before hand, but I went down with a friend and there were so many people crashing on the floor it didn't matter. It was fun, we ran in to other people crashing from Keystone, too. Also in Colorado I began sleeping on a group of co-workers' couch regularly until they offered me a side of a bed. Our dorm room was a little crowded.

I absolutely love hosting whoever will come to Mississippi that I've met during my many seasonal jobs, it gives me a chance to redeem the state's public image I feel.

I think my mom dragged my family around to every distant relative in the U.S. to sleep on their couches.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many! Things Fall Apart is an all time favorite, as is Siddhartha. I have an ever growing moldy book collection including a near complete vintage Nancy Drew series and a first edition Skinny Legs and All.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While driving to my dad's in southern Arizona I saw lightning strike a palm tree and set it on fire. It was pretty amazing.
