Still new on Couchsurfing!

I'm a 22 year old guy who is very busy "studying" in the Netherlands. I was on exchange in Singapore in winter of 2016/17. I guess I made most of the whole experience by traveling all over the place and getting to know way too many awesome people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I realized for myself that I get a lot more attached to people than to physical places. Yes, Singapore is an amazing city and makes every easy and enjoyable. But the place wouldn't have felt like home, had I not met all my close friends.

The same is true for traveling. Solo traveling gives you all the freedom and flexibility you need, but at the end of the day, meeting people from all around the world is one of the most gratifying experiences of traveling.

Long story short, it's nice to meet someone new when you go and visit a new place. And it's obviously even better when that certain someone lives in this city and can give you an experience that a stay in a hostel couldn't have.
