Overview
About Me
I am a 19 year old student on a year off between first and second year University. I am currently traveling Europe for the next 10 months. I enjoy exploring and am very adventurous. I like to experience new things and i'll try almost anything once! In the future, i'd like to use these traits as a journalist and I'm excited to explore the world doing so. Most of all i love meeting new people and can wait to meet you all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always want to experience the places I visit the most authentically I can and meeting locals is the best way to do so. I think that Couchsurfing is the best way to meet locals. I also love the sense of community within Couchsurfing. My mom has often hosted Couchsurfers and I have met so many interesting people because of this. Now that I am traveling, I'm excited to experience being hosted and meet many people along the way. Not to mention Couchsurfing is the perfect match for my student budget!
Interests
I'm a big fan of all things outdoors, I especially like camping and anything to do with mountains! I also enjoy listening to music, recorded or live and going to art shows and musuems. I appreciate a wild night out, as well as a relaxing night in watching movies and hanging out. In addition, I love to eat and have just started trying my hand at cooking. I am very happy in the kitchen or at the dinner table. If nothing else, I am content to wander the streets to see what I'll find.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music I can usually find something in common with just about anyone. I like a wide range of music from hip hop to jazz to indie rock to folk. If i had to choose, some of favourite artists would be Bob Dylan, Mac Demarco, The Unicorns, Milo, Dizzy Gillespie, Car Seat Headrest, Kendrick Lamar, Sufjian Stevens, MF DOOM, Miles Davis, Chance the Rapper, Death Grips, FKA Twigs, Tame Impala, Run The Jewels, Muddy Waters, and Father John Misty.
As for movies I can enjoy just about anything but my favourites are anything visual or anything about adventure. Some of my favourite movies are O Brother Where Art Thou, My Neighbour Totoro, anything by Wes Anderson, In Bruges and basically any cheesy 80s movie.
finally to books, I'm really into anything from the Beat Generation, especially Jack Kerouac. I've read On The Road, The Dharma Bums and Big Surs and absolutely loved them all. I also really like alot of the Beat Poetry. I've also recently read Coming Through Slaughter by Michael Ondaatje and very much enjoyed it. Right now I'm reading The love of mountains by Uno Koji.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to help with anything that needs doing around the house. I also enjoy cooking and I'd gladly cook for my hosts (and wash the dishes of course!). Beyond that, I can only offer my conversation and would love to sit down and get to know anyone kind enough to host me.
