Hey there!

My name is Nils Nobes and I am a 19-year-old guy from Moenchengladbach in Germany. Moenchengladbach is a village in North-Rhine Westfalia near the border with the Netherlands. It is famous for its soccer club "VFL Borussia Moenchengladbach".

I have always been very passionate about soccer. I started playing for the club of my hometown when I was very young and up to this day, I have continued playing. I am also very interested in soccer around the world and I am watching a lot of matches on TV.

Furthermore, I like going out with my friends in my free time and meeting new people.
Since I have my driving licence, I spend a lot of time on the road and enjoy driving around.

Besides that, I love traveling around the world and I want to see as many places as possible in my life. I am very interested in other cultures and people from other countries who speak a different language.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I was a child, my dream was to travel through Canada and the USA and now that I finished school with my A levels, I'm able to live my dream.

From the 19th July 2017 to the 8th June 2018, I will be traveling through northern America.

I think that Couchsurfing is a great opportunity because the best way to get to know a country is by meeting new people and learning about the culture and living the life in this country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many kinds of music, but my favourite genre is pop. My playlist mainly consists of songs from the charts.

When I was young, I also enjoyed reading books, but lately I have not found much time to do so.

I also like watching action and love movies - my favourite movies are Fast & Furious and Mission Impossible. My favourite TV series are The Blacklist, Quantico and Prison Break.

I can give you some advice for traveling into different countries where I have already been. In addition, I'm able to talk about the life in my homeland and give you some tips or you are interested in learning German, English or French, then I can help you and give you some support.
