Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like travelling a lot. To go on holiday and spend the time in a fancy hotel at the beach is surely nice, but I prefer to go to places and actually experience them in their entirety - to dive into life there as much as possible in the given time instead of just experiencing the place from a tourist's perspective. For me, that means especially meeting the locals there and getting to know their culture, their way of living, the food they eat, their traditions and habits, their humour, the favourite places they go to ..., talking about their beliefs, views, hearing their stories etc.
I'd like to learn from other people and am happy to show them my home and culture, too. I'm new to Couchsurfing but I think it's just a good and convenient way to connect with new people and share good times together.

Not sure if it's that amazing, but anyway...
Right now, my hiking project back in Germany is the "Hermannsweg" - a 156km long-distance trail through the Teutoburg Forest. I once did two hiking stages at a time and ended up walking more than 40km in one day ... don't ask what my feet felt like haha
