Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am a cool and easy-going person. I think.
Im a sociable person, and expect people to accept my values of mutual respect and sharing, especially since I live with my roommate Laura. I can host a maximum of 2 people.
ABOUT ME
Im a young drawing artist trying to get the best opportunities to be shown in the merciless world of Art. Not the kind of person who makes big projects, rather someone who lives day by day (despite I cant spend much time travelling due to the hardships of life...).
I'm quite introvert which doesn't mean I don't like socializing. I'm a calm person which doesn't mean I'm not sometimes a party animal.
My vices are my passion for beer, and food.... and sleeping!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like meeting new people and discover new houses, so as to see various philiosophies of life, ways of living and discover new dishes.
I have a friendly and warm place for hosting. Nevertheless I can't do that too often as I and my roommate need some privacy cause we both work a lot at home, and I sometimes work in the evenings for my part-time job. So do not take it personally if I don't respond to your requests.
Interests
Drawing, painting, photography... Every business related to Art takes me a lot of time.
I like to go crazy and spend time through concerts, DJ sets...
I get to see exhibitions as often as possible, especially during opening times
Nature and walking to take fresh air is necessary for me
I'm a gourmet, my cooking specialities are a mix between french, belgian and japanese food
Music, Movies, and Books
I can list you miscellanous movies and moviemakers I've been marked by: Jim Jarmusch, Paprika, Stalker, Grave, Enter the Void, Blade Runner the first one and Blade Runner 2049, Jacques Demy, Cédric Klapisch, Kurosawa, Interstellar, The Lobster, Pierrot le Fou, This is England, The Devils, Clockwork Orange, A Boy and his Dog, Mad Max saga, The Holy Mountain, De Helaasheid der Dingen, Sasori, Koyaanisqatsi, The Idiots
.....
I also like looking for some B-Z movies, and any other silly movies.
Concerning books, well, I'm not a bookworm, but my tendencies would rather go to initiation novels, psychologic, sociologic... Some authors I'm found of: Hermann Hesse, Houellebecq, Zola, Marguerite Duras, Bernard Quiriny... I also recently had a crush on 'Praise of the Shadow' (I don't know if the english title is correct) by Junichirô Tanizaki. And began to read H.P Lovecraft and The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley.
I'm originally more focused on comic strips authors, which are mostly french and independant: Frédéric Boilet, Fabcaro, Manu Larcenet...
I used to read a lot of manga and watch a lot of anime, such as FullMetal Alchemist, Evangelion, Monster, Nana, Death Note, Akira... But now I'm less into series, so I'd rather watch a Ghibli movie or Ghost in the Shell.
My kind of musics are mostly industrial, punk, post-punk, noise, shoegaze, new wave, ambient, classical, doom, electronic, experimental, psychedelic, indie
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I don't know that much about one "amazing" thing I've done... I'd rather consider that everyday life is amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I like experimenting new dishes and make the guests envoy. I also like guests making me discovering new dishes.
I know quite a lot about beer ;-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show you some concert cafes, art centers, and alternative centers. There are plenty of them all over Brussels, not only Barlok and Magasin4, so that I'm always in the discovery.
I'd rather recommend to walk in the city more than going to museums (when the weather permits it, of course!). The Architectures are so eclectic that you can see in the same place an Art Nouveau house, modern buildings and Art Deco. And there are plenty of nice parks for chilling
