ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Nine; I grew up in Holland , France, and Germany... I usually live in Berlin, Germany (I can't update my city on couchsurfing.com; when I joined I lived in Tokyo) .
My mother is French and my father is Japanese. I am a PhD student, artist, theorist, and translator. I love still learning things, but I would also love to travel more, and be involved in creative projects.
I read as much as I can, am very interested in art and film, am an avid music lover.
I love spending time with friends, many of whom are far away - the world has become a network of friends and friends' friends, it's nice!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have many couchsurfing stories - my appartments in Paris and Berlin seemed like a youth hostel at times! at least the neighbours must have thought that. people were coming and going and I loved to show them around, to see the city with fresh eyes.
Many people came to visit me in Berlin as well; usually friends of friends, often artists. Once an entire band stayed with me (from Arizona) because their accommodation was cancelled. I borrowed two air mattresses from friends, and managed to house them all, it was like having five new little brothers! We stayed friends and every time they're on tour in a city I live in we meet up. (now they're a bit famous so they get hotels)

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you are learning English, French or German I can help – I am a certified language teacher and translator. If you have children I am happy to help with babysitting, and doing arts&crafts with them, I love doing that!
