I'm new to the whole couch surfing experience, but ready to dive in and get my head wet.

Books: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Steam/bio/dieselpunk, distopias, pretty much anything where the author is halfway decent. Hm, books? I like graphic novels, modern fantasy, Abarat, Flight (comic) Fables (comic), Charlie Wilson's War, anything by Christopher Moore, LotR (all, except the politics of Minas Tirith always bogged me down), and biology books. I know, I'm a geek. Call it a guilty pleasure, if you will.
Movies: Old comedies, mocumentaries, generally bad-ass action films. Names? Life Aquatic, History of the World, Jurassic Park, Kickass, Anything by Hayao Miyazaki, Back to the Future, Pixar, Rocky Horror, Forrest Gump, vintage Disney, Star Wars, Iron Man, Emperor's New Groove, etc.

Music: ANYTHING. Except country/western. Yael Naim, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, any band that performed at Woodstock (I've seen Arlo twice, completely by accident. Ask me about it), CSNY (included because they are MY FAVE), mash ups, The Beautiful Girls, Xavier Rudd, The Doors, The Beatles, Todd Rundgren, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Bob Marley, Barefoot Truth, Ingrid Michaelson, and as a guilty pleasure, occasionally Lady Gaga and Ke$ha.
