Marcel and I have both lived abroad for some years, and we love meeting people from different countries and origins. The 2 of us are quite different, but also quite alike in that we love to communicate, and are enthusiastic about living in general.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It started when I was a student, when I was single and travelling around... It was not even called anything, no website ! Just at people I'd met on my trips.
I remember a very special lady in Minnesota : we were stuck in a snow storm and stopped in a small town in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in this bar until it closed, and the waitress took us to her house where we stayed overnight. The next day, a big and delicious breakfast was awaiting us ! She was a waitress, had never been further than Minneapolis, only spoke English, had a macho husband, but she gave us a lot of warmth and generosity.
In the past years, we've been hosted by all kind of people, mainly in Europe. It has always been a great experience, and we have enjoyed meeting them all (even when it was just a short stay).
We also hosted lots of different people these past few years, and it has always been a pleasure !

兴趣

Reading, singing - jazz, music from the Balkans (that's me), drawing, travelling, meeting people, foreign languages,talking with friends, going out, art, politics, history, music and also some sport (skiing, badminton,cycling, hiking and ... running : that's for Marcel!
I almost forgot :the man is crazy about motorbikes!!

音乐、电影和书籍

Love movies - in original version. I was recently taken aback by 'Mommy', a Canadian film.
I listen to all sorts of music from Mahler to Chico Buarque, Karim Ziad, Glenn Gould, Diana Krall, Massive Attack, The National, The Clash, Gainsbourg and so many more ...
Marcel is more into rock music, especially AC/DC, his favourite band.
We read a lot, I love English and American litterature and Marcel is more into German and Spanish litterature.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Marcel rode his motorbike in the Saoudi and Moroccan deserts. He would probably say that going with his son to the TT on the Isle if Man was awesome. A child's dream come true.
As for me, I don't know..Seeing my kids grow up into great adults is amazing ! More recently : floating on the dead sea at night and sleeping a couple of hours on the beach there, then climbing to the Masada fortress under 50 ° C : beautiful and distressing (I thought I was going to die !) But hey! ...when you get to the top, you get your reward!
Amongst so many other things that I cannot list...the world is amazing!

I can teach English (well, that's my job!) and French, and maybe some french cooking. And Marcel used to be a Maths teacher! He can surely teach you how to plant tomatoes and stawberries on a balcony right here in the centre of Lyon !
