About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Haute route!!!.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel and make new friends. I think meeting local people and going to local eateries/bars is the best way to explore a town. I've met some really interesting people on this forum.

I'm a food lover. However, being a vegetarian does restrict my choices a fair bit. I enjoy Italian a lot and am always game for a good pasta followed by Tiramisu. I'm also the world's best guacamole eater ..

I abhor racism and like to treat every individual as a human being. I believe in spirituality, but do not endorse or denounce any race or religion. I've lived across the globe over my lifespan so far. I grew up in India and then moved to the states for a little under three years where I learnt how to fly planes! I've lived in Singapore for over four years and have been now living in the Middle East for the past ten years. With all the avid travelling and living around the world, I've tried to absorb as many cultures as possible and have in the process realised what matters is mutual respect for fellow human beings.

I'm an adventure freak and would like to try everything that is out there to be done. I enjoy trekking in the mountains and scaling the 7 summits would be a dream come true. Other adventure activities that I've indulged into include camping, ocean kayaking, rock climbing, rock rappelling, white water rafting, glacier climbing, sky diving, parasailing etc.

Due to the nature of my profession, I'm not always home. But if your profile is interesting, I would love to host you whenever I physically can.

PHILOSOPHY

I usually let my heart rule over my head. Learning things the hard way is the best way to learn anyway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being a nature lover and an avid traveller, I would love to share my experiences and have others share their experiences with me. I think life is too short to be able to see everything that this enormous and amazing world has to offer.

I host people as much as I can. And I love to meet the locals each time I visit a new city. Even if I'm not surfing with them, I try and take time out to meet them over a drink or five!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being an airline crew, I mostly meet people 'on the run'. My experience so far has been very rewarding. I've met some incredibly interesting and huge hearted people.

I once teamed up with 3 perfect strangers in Oz and went to the woods for an overnight camping trip in the wilderness. On my next trip down under, one of them again teamed up with me along with some new Csers and we made another trip to the woods and it was so cool to see and camp with a Cser for the second time.

I once also hosted an in house BYOB party at my apartment suite in perth on one of my night stops. 15 people showed up - all perfect strangers and we hung out over lots of fun, chat conversations and vodka. We ended up making lasting friendships and some of us have kept in touch ever since.

Interests

Adventure sports .... Open to try pretty much anything ... Would hate to turn old, look back and say to myself ... Gee I wish I'd done that when I was younger!

I'm a cricket fanatic! I love watching and playing .. I also like to play badminton and squash.

I enjoy talking about spirituality. I believe in miracles :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Not much into reading. I like the music of 80s. I love country music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving .... From 18000 feet over the Bay Area, The Grand Canyon, Pangong lake (prettiest place I've ever seen in my life),
Milford sound and many more

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to whip up a mean pesto sauce in minutes. Trust me - it's the best thing ever to eat your pasta with.

I can teach you how to rip a scotch tape in a perfectly straight line with no folds or wrinkles without using any tools whatsoever!

I could also teach you Hindi, in case you're interested.

Oh! When I was younger, I used to work at a flight school as a flight instructor. So if you own an airplane and are looking to take flying lessons, that can be arranged too :-)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, India, Qatar, Singapore, United States
