About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning languages, one at a time, and teaching in return!

ABOUT ME

I'm your new favourite rogue. I'm a twenty-something girl who likes getting lost and places and laughing it off afterwards --- because getting lost is amazing, but, due to recent events, everything must be done by exercising calculated risks.

PHILOSOPHY

“There are certain emotions in your body that not even your best friend can sympathize with, but you will find the right film or the right book, and it will understand you.” --- Bjork

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time here so I'd like to be present in all bi-weekly meetings. I'd like to meet all of you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have none, so far.

Interests

Reading, writing, browsing the Web, Benedict Cumberbatch, food (most especially breakfast food), astronomy, languages, medieval history, Erotica and Chinese-Filipino Literature, humour, cats, dogs, and cookies with milk.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into the Danish band Mew, this Swedish band The Hives, The Strokes, and OK Go. I'm into Maksim (yes, The Piano Player), t.A.T.u. I LOVE THE BEATLES. I also listen to Classical Music. I love Lana del Rey and Kylie Minogue and Liz Phair. Books? I love Erotica (most especially works by Nikki Gemmell), Chinese-Filipino Literature (I'm a fan of Charlson Ong), and autobiographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a teacher in the Graduate Degree programme who teaches Literary Criticism in a no-nonsense way: he teaches by way of telling stories, and not applying pressure upon students to absorb the lessons. I do admire him so much that I hope I'll be able to sit in his class again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like it when people show dedication and passion when they learn and work. I also love curious people! People who enjoy listening theories, then applying them to see if it work are, to me, intelligent people.
