Overview
About Me
I've been a practicing revolutionary for the past ten years; organizing alternatives to institutions of oppression and strategically destabilizing systems that harm. Along the way, I became a structural, political, and cultural consultant for nonprofits in the U.S. that focus on Racial, Economic and Reproductive Justice. Now, I'm taking a more artistic and philosophical approach to my work. Last year, I produced a mixed media film about my personal relationship to the political work I've done. I also recorded my second mixtape and began writing the sequel to a novel I wrote in 2023. I'm working on distribution, now. We'll see where that leads me!
I'm deeply invested in astrology, African diasporic culture, and romance.
I'm active; lifting 4-5 times per week, running 4-10 miles per week, attending yoga class and pilates classes at least once per week. I'd like to become a stronger swimmer and find a tennis partner!
I love to cook, play, learn, read, explore, and challenge.
I'm in search of profundity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So, I initially joined Couchsurfing for an organizing tour in 2018! Now, I'm realizing that this way of connecting, living, and experiencing deeply resonates with me and aligns with my vision for human experience.
Couchsurfing is such a romantic idea; exchanging culture, real connection. It's beautiful. I'm so excited to start this journey!
I'll be traveling for the next 3-4 years. Paris (11/30 to 02/28), Cape Town (02/28 to 05/31), Ho Chi Minh City (05/31 to 08/31). and Lourinha (08/31 to 11/30). I'd already chosen my AirBnBs for the next year when I remembered this site! Couchsurfing is a much more politically aligned way for me to see the world. I feel so excited at the prospect of coming home to a roomie who is invested in community building and who is likely to be more well traveled than I as opposed to coming home to an sterile, commercial accommodation.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach crochet, astrology, tarot, Black radical theory, English, and cooking. I can also offer personal training; as that was a gig I held down before finding my purpose.
I'd love to learn to speak French fluently. I'm looking for Ballet instruction, piano instruction, and acting support. I'm interested in expanding my mindfulness and meditation practices. I'd love to learn how romantic love and racial dynamics manifest in other cultures. What is the culture of romantic love where you are from? How does the society in which you were raised relate to race? I want to learn to surf, also; though I'm not sure my current travel itinerary will be supportive of this.
Let's share meals, books, laughs, movie nights, morning runs, and secrets!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to cook dinner several times per week! Let's put my culinary certification to good use!
I can facilitate book clubs, study groups, and political education.
I'm a successful grant writer. If your project needs funding, I can help!
I can teach you to crochet!
