Leave the world a little better for my passing through. Recently moved house and don't at present have any spare couch. Hopefully that will change soon.

ABOUT ME

I am interested in almost everything and anything as long as it is interesting.
These days the arts are my thing, particularly theatre but go to almost anything and everything as you never know what will be one of the best things you have ever ever experienced. Listen to a lot of music, not as much of it live as I'd like. Have a degree in modern history and politics but deep in my heart I am still somewhat of a geek.

PHILOSOPHY

Atheist, Rational Optimist and Feminist, not a very good one but getting better.
At the end of it all it is people that matter and the ideas that inspire us. While everyone needs a bit of their own space the time we spend in other peoples company is the most rewarding. Also you can't beat good vanilla ice cream.

After many years of lurking one random couch request and all of a sudden I'm an active host. Suppose I just needed a bit of a push.

Only as a host but very much enjoying it so far.

I'm interested in almost everything and how the world works and in peoples stories. My main interest is in the Arts. Theatre in particular but really all the arts. Have been known to do a bit of acting from time to time, Dance, Photography.

Seeing my Mother graduate from University with a degree in "Philosophy, Sociology and Politics" in 2007 after having left school at the age of 16.

Singing along with my father to Pavarotti, at the big man’s invitation, at his farewell concert in Dublin.
Fortunately the rest of the audience helped hide the fact that I cannot sing at all.

As for things I can share, I can Irish Set Dance. I studied Photography a bit. I have lots of alost useless information about almost anything.

I enjoy talking to people from anywhere and sharing ideas and experiences of life.

While I am not from Belfast I have lived here for some time though still feel somewhat of an outsider. I suppose I feel that makes me better placed to show other outsiders about.
