COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couchsurfed in Germany and France, but I've seen the sunrise over Berlin on a church roof, roasted vegetables over a fire in the Pyrenees, and met a lot of really awesome people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Though I hate to admit it, I love Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Klosterman, and Tom Robbins. Anne Carson, Yuz Aleshkovsky, Paul Celan, Kafka, and Anna Akhmatova are some of my new ventures...

Music: Too many to name. Right now, I'm listening to a lot of Beirut, The Books, CocoRosie, Sigur Ros, Bjork, Sondre Lerche, Ween, Bill Landford and the Landfordaires, Harry Nilsson, Islands, Ratatat, Violent Femmes, and CSN&Y.

Movies: Again too many to name. Some all-time favorites include: Singin' in the Rain, Apocolypse Now, Children of Men, Werckmeister Harmonies, The Royal Tenenbaums, Dancer in the Dark, Lion King, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got drunk in a hut without electricity on top of Mount Olympus with a man named Adonis.
