HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For a while I only surfed, but while living in Chicago last year I was able to host and I really enjoyed it. In January I went to Colombia and met a lot of amazing people, and I even got to have a reunion with Colombian couchsurfers I hosted in Chicago.

Por un rato solo viajado, pero cuando vivé en Chicago el año pasado podía hospedar y estaba divertido. Por el enero, fui a Colombia yo conocé muchas personas fantasticas. Tuve suerte y aun les vi nuevamente en Colombia algunas personas quienes quedaron en mi casa en Chicago.

Some musicians I like are King Crimson, Jimi Hendrix, CAN, Mars Volta, Frank Zappa, Syd Barrett, Black Sabbath, Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Ali Farka Touré, Bob Marley, Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, Black Stalin, Sun Ra, Erik Satie, John Coltrane, Alice Coltrane, Sonny Sharrock, Eric Dolphy, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Sun Ra, Billy Woods, Ka, De La Soul, Outkast, Wu Tang Clan...

Right now I am reading anything by Phillip K. Dick. Love William Faulkner and Dostoevsky -- some favorite books are The Brothers Karamazov, Notes from Underground, Absolom, Absolom!, The Sound & the Fury. Beyond that, other authors I like are Sadegh Hedayat, Roberto Bolano, Ishmael Reed, Toni Morrison, Stanislaw Lem, Italo Calvino, David Foster Wallace....oh yeah and Harold and the Purple Crayon is a favorite of mine.

some movies: Duck Soup, Solaris, Breathless, Face Off, Seven Samurai, Space is the Place, Polyester, House, Night of the Living Dead...

Hm, well for one, Couchsurf is fairly amazing. Meeting strangers on a basis exchange of generosity and trust, quite a novel thing =)
