About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love weekend escapes to interesting destinations

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Nick, just turned 32 (aaa!), fun, sensible and considerate guy. I work as a Software Developer in central London which is also where I live and I have recently started popping for fun weekends to interesting destinations. I would LOVE to stay longer and sometimes I do, but my holidays are limited so my philosophy usually is that rather than not going at all, I'd rather go at least for a weekend.I am one of those converts that always used hotels and refused to try couchsurfing due to all kinds of prejudices but after being hosted as an emergency in Milan my traveling life changed forever! It slowly became even addictive as it was so incomparable traveling and meeting local people than staying alone in an hotel room feeling lonely. It's definitely much more fun to meet local interesting people for a cup of coffee, talk about stuff and find common interests and activities. Also, I'm gay if it matters at all but that doesn't mean I am looking to meet only other gay people when I'm traveling; quite the opposite, as I hope that this bit remains irrelevant.

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life to the fullest!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly couch surfed. I love to host as well but I am abroad often and it is harder to plan it. However, when I host it is always really fun and I plan to stay put for a while in the new year and host more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have already had many amazing experiences with CS and every time I endeavour to couch surf, it reconfirms my trust in this culture.
I always end up developing a connection with the people I meet via Couchsurfing and whether we stay in touch or not, they are always in my thoughts and I am always delighted at the prospect of meeting them again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Managed over 90 trips from 2011 till today so it was a really wild few years and utterly rewarding as I met a lot of really interesting people and saw amazing places.

Teach, Learn, Share

All people have something to teach and show, so I don't discriminate. Both the artistic and the scientific types, the free spirited and the conformed. I enjoy meeting them all!
