Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started in 2012 with city trips with a goal to go clubbing. Nowadays I like to meet locals during my bike packing trips and know more about culture and maybe practice one of my lesser languages.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Also on Warm Showers.org and Welcome to my Garden. Love to both host and visit people.

Interests

cooking
reading (about history, novels)
sports (mountain sports and football in particular)

Music, Movies, and Books

A is for Adele
B is for the Beatles
C is for Candy Dulfer
D is for David Guetta
E is for Everything! I like most modern music, as long as it has a catchy beat, catchy lyrics or it is a wonderfull voice, I'm open to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the Tinzenhorn (with a mountain Guide), the "Graubunden Matterhorn" .

Teach, Learn, Share

Here's a recipy of a desert that I like very much:

Pears with a red wine syrup. (4 persons)

150 ml red wine
150 ml water
125 g sugar
1 cinnamon stick
4 pears

mix the water and the sugar in a pann and warm it till it cooks, meanwhile, peel of the skin of the pears, cut the bottem so that the pears can stand up straight but leave on the stem, this looks nice and this way you can easily handle them.

When the sugarwater boils, add the pears. Boile them for 15min with a cover on the pan.

Add the red wine, and the cinnamon stick, remove the cover and again let it boil for 15 minutes.

Then remove the pears and boil the red wine-water liquid until it is thick enough to serve as a syrup. Pour the syrup over the pears and serve warm. (if you want to serve it cold, put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour)

enjoy!
