ABOUT ME

Genuine. I love getting to know the genuine side of both people and cultures around the world. There is just soo much to explore in life and it's a blast to hear other people's perspectives. A personal description of me... hmmm. Well, escaping the ontological mysteries surrounding who Nate Meidinger is, from what I'm told I am quite personable. I love a good cup of coffee in the morning, closely followed by a random adventure. I get very excited over the most obscure things, like bacon, amazing beards, people who look like cartoon characters, etc. I am a huge fan of extreme sports such as sky diving, bungee jumping, hang gliding, etc. I am continuously searching for ways to "complete" my bucket list, however the more I visit with people of different cultures the more things get added to it. I am a very honest person and won't ever shy away from a question asked (it is very hard to offend me so feel free to probe any topic). I have a special spot in my heart for people who struggle with mental and/or physical disabilities and have been working as a support worker for the last 6 years in different capacities. I love life, friends and family and look forward to the crazy things in store for the time I have left on this spinning ball of dirt.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm constantly searching for the deepest meaning to life and the big question such as why I'm here and what I can do to make life mean the most. I believe each moment I have here is a gift from a loving God.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at this point but has a friend who travelled for 3 months with couchsurfing. Seems pretty rockin!

Interesses

Movies, sports, music, philosophy, you name it i'm probably interested. I love random adventures and tend to get super excited over the most bizarre of things, like giant pretzels at baseball games, food wrapped in bacon, big goofy looking hats, amazing feats of strength, etc. Pretty much anything that is unusual is right up my alley. I love art, though like most other things I prefer the abstract versions. I love learning how things work and historical tidbits of the places I visit. Pretty much I love learning and experience new and crazy adventures.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I love funk music, orchestral, jazz, sometimes slip into pop, rap, celtic. I'm a fan of pretty much all music apart from mainstream artists and gregorian chant. Everything else is a ok in my books.

Favourite movies would have to be:
Simon birch, Shawshank Redemption, Cast Away, Back to the Future Trilogy, Starwars Series, Serenity- coupled of course with the Firefly Series, Gladiator, Braveheart, etc. I'm not so much into chick flicks but have been caught occasionally delving into some "sappier" forms of cinema. Predominantly action or drama mystery. I can't stomach horror and am a wimp for most thrillers. Other than that I'm game.

Books:
Anything Fantasy, philosophy or other. I'm pretty adhd so I typically listen to audio books more than reading.

I got to spend a day in the slums in Kenya. It was amazing walking up and down the not so pleasantly manured roads with 20 kids hanging off of me singing old macdonald! Unreal!
