ABOUT ME

Hmm let me see, Ijust moved to New York City about half a year ago after growing up in Fallbrook, CA, (The Avocado Capital of the World!). I'm absolutely amazed by NYC, it's taken me awhile to adjust to the pace.

I come from a huuuge family, two brothers and two sisters, plus on last count I had 35 first cousins. I am a bit too invested in my sports teams (Padres, Lakers, Chargers, Stanford).

After graduating college I worked in construction, then I operated an MRI machine and took pictures of people's brains and did some cognitive neuroscience research, now I'm back in school studying to be a doctor.

Satisfying my curiosity of the world. I like to click the random article picker in wikipedia and then start clicking on the links inside and see where I end up... yeah kinda nerdy.

I like medicine, science, economics, and politics. And I especially like discussing how they all fit together... or more often how they don't.

I like golf and croquet, but haven't been able to do much of either here in NYC.

Music - So much! I'm interested in hearing all types of music, right now music from Africa and India are at the top of the list along with some country. It's cliche but Dylan is my favorite.

Movies - So many! My favorite ever though is Breaking the Waves. It deals with sex, love, religion in a completely unique way. Such a great movie.

My cousin had seizures when she was a little kid, she would go practically comatose when she got them, and she was always taking medications, which caused her to be drugged.

Because of this she developed really slowly, I always thought she was mentally retarded/stunted.

A surgeon found out that she had a blood vessel connection problem in her brain, and offered to do the surgery for free.

Almost immediately after she was just like any normal kid.

I hope that I can impact a person's life like that too.
