About Me

To learn how to create communities whereever I go...

I'm a free spirited person that is just trying to enjoy life. I'm really trying to take some time for myself right now, I've spend a lot of my life taking care of others and so now is the time I really need to focus on what I want out of life. And I want to meet as many new people as I can, from all over the world and become more active in it.

I've grown up a good portion of my life in the bay area and I love it, but I definitely want to see more of the world. The hardest thing for me to see is seeing people get so caught up in their day to day lives that they forget the appreciate the people and the environment they live in. I'm trying to appreciate my friends and family on a new level creating a stronger balance in my life. I love to learn, try new things, and get outdoors and explore, these things help me to feel alive, especially the outdoors.

I'm always willing to have a good time or help someone in serious need. I'm pretty much down for anything and I have a lot of energy to do these things which helps.

We create our own universe...we create all the happiness and joy we create in our lives, but we also create also cause ourselves pain and suffering, by the choices we make in life. It is how we react to situations that really defines who we are and I believe that we have to do whatever we can to create a positive place to be....wherever we are.

Don't stop dreaming...dreaming can open your mind to new possible realities.

Live life to the fullest. I would rather live and experience this world for all it's faults and hidden treasures than to only exist in it and be content.

No ones perfect and being perfect would be quite boring, so I say work with what your given.

The biggest challenge most of us face is ourselves and once we conquer our own personal roadblocks we can do anything. (As I read in a yoga book, "Most of our obstacles are created within our own heart.")

Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I smile, give hugs, and help people open their hearts.

I hosted, have been hosted by such special people in my heart. I've participated in numerous group outings and meetings. I've helped show people around my home or my temporary homes.

Couchsurfing enhances my experiences in life. It gives me a chance to meet so many different people from different walks of life. I'm also happy that there is a place where so many people can come together and get to know one another, since that's what life's about anyways...people.

I'd have to say that Couch Surfing has really been a lifeline for me. I have no problem staying in a hostle, but getting to meet and connect with other Couchsurfers has really made me feel at home where ever I go. Traveling can get lonely, but thanks to CS it allows me to have fun and enjoy each area, so much more than I would have been able to do if I was traveling through on my own.

Yoga,Traveling, Hiking, Backpacking, Photography, Snowboarding, Music, Dancing, Taking care of the Environment

I have a great passion for dancing, never taken classes, but I'll dance around and act silly anytime.

I love listening to live music, nothing better than watch a live band. I especially love music with positive lyrics.

I love cooking too...especially when done with other people or for other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies...Django Unchained (2012), Disney movies, Blood Diamonds, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I really am trying to read more, but it hasn't happened yet...Sidhardtha will always be one of my favorites though.

Music...I love so many different types of music, electronic has been one of my favorites, alternative, 80's, oldies, rock & roll and jazz are also great. I love hearing new stuff and seeing music played live is always a treat. I also love hearing music that people I know have taken the time to create, it seem to have a deeper impact to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In July of 2009 I went to Costa Rica with my friend Curly and we had a blast. We saw a turtle lay her eggs, went on a Canoeing tour, tried to see the volcano, but saw monkeys instead, enjoyed the Bali Hot Springs, went to the Cheese factory in Monteverde, and walked on skyway bridges that put us in the middle of the cloud forest sometime in-between the trees, sometime above the tree, but always up high in the air. It was great to see the country, meet all sorts of people that were traveling around, and it really is a beautiful place. I was only their for a week, so I hope at some point I can make it back and see even more of it's beauty.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to share all that I learn. I'm willing to teach you anything I know and want to learn as much as I can from each person I know and then take what I learn and share that with new people.

I'd love to teach anyone how to enjoy life a little more. We all take life too seriously and need a day to just appreciate life.

I'd like to learn how to open my mind more and more over time, to other ways of living and other ways of experiencing life.

I'd like to share my love of life and deep love of people with those worth sharing it with.
