Overview
About Me
Positive + open-minded person, appreciate spirited debates and having my beliefs challenged. From a small island in South-West Canada of about ~1000 inhabitants, where we took a boat to school every morning.
In Utrecht for an exchange semester, and looking to see other areas of Europe while I am here! Would absolutely love to talk your ear off about any of the following: baking, climbing, surfing (longboard), camping, meditation/mindfulness, and ideation.
Why isn't the dashboard of a web browser on the bottom of the screen? That way we wouldn't have to damage our necks as much when working on laptops– everything would be ~2" higher up. These are the types of things I think about and like to discuss haha
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet interesting people (traveling alone can be isolating) and to exchange ideas and cultural practices/assumptions.
It's easy to get trapped in our own little bubble and forget that expectations are relative. I find the more perspective one has, the one can worry about abiding the the cultural norms in their own country :)
For example, in Canada people usually get married around 30. In Germany, I understand that it is often a bit younger. What else is different?
Interests
I like mostly all things related to being outdoors!
